FAMILY RECONNECT RETREAT

December 31, 2026 – January 3, 2027

Karns City, Pennsylvania

Three nights. Four days. A fresh start for your family.

Life moves quickly.

Between work, school, activities, commitments, and the endless demands of everyday life, it's easy to find ourselves giving our families everything except what they need most—our priority and our presence.

Kingdom Rhythms invites you to step away from the noise, lay down the burdens you've been carrying, and make room for God and one another.

What better way to begin a new year than slowing down and intentionally considering the kind of family life we want to cultivate?

Less doing. More being. More room for what matters.

A Weekend to Reconnect

We invite your family to step into
an intimate, Christ-centered retreat
designed to help you rest, reconnect, reflect,
and establish healthier rhythms for the year ahead.

You will not find a conference packed with sessions
or a vacation that leaves you needing another vacation.

Instead, you are welcome to come as you are,
slow your pace,
and make room for what matters most.

Consider this your invitation to slow down—
to be present with God, your spouse,
your children, and one another.

Come join us for meaningful moments, unhurried conversations, and intentional time together—with just enough structure to make room for what matters most.

Throughout the weekend, we'll enjoy:

✦  Christ-centered encouragement and practical teaching
✦  Meaningful, screen-free family activities
✦  Time for spouses to reconnect or personal reflection time
✦  Supervised children's activities during designated parent sessions
✦  Nourishing, whole-food meals
✦  Laughter, games, and genuine fellowship
✦  Plenty of unhurried time for rest, prayer, and reflection
✦  Intentional New Year's goal-setting and family vision-building

The Retreat Rhythm

Nestled on a peaceful, 100+ acre working farm in the countryside north of Pittsburgh, our retreat offers a beautiful setting to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simplicity of rural life.

Each family will enjoy their own private room and bathroom, with welcoming shared spaces for meals, fellowship, and meaningful connection.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31

Arrive & Exhale

An invitation to simply be together.

Arrive, settle into your accommodations, and begin letting go of the pace of everyday life.

We'll gather around the dinner table, reconnect with friends, and welcome the New Year with fellowship, laughter, and gratitude.

The focus: Presence, connection, and a fresh beginning.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 1

Make Room for God

The cost of hurry and what matters most.

Is it possible that we've filled our lives with so many good things that we've crowded out the best things?

Through Scripture, Christ-centered teaching, honest reflection, and practical exercises, we'll examine how busyness, expectations, distractions, and overcommitment affect our relationships with God, our spouses, and our children.

While parents gather, children will enjoy supervised, age-appropriate activities.

The remainder of the day includes generous opportunities for rest, family activities, fellowship, and simply enjoying one another.

The focus: Recognizing what has crowded our lives and intentionally making room for what matters.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 2

Let Him Transform What We Carry

Generational patterns, burdens, and surrender.

Sometimes the things weighing us down aren't visible.

They may be expectations, fears, unresolved hurts, unhealthy habits, or patterns we've carried from one generation to the next.

Through Christ-centered teaching and guided personal reflection, we'll explore how these burdens can influence our parenting and relationships—and how we can begin bringing them before the Lord.

This session includes a meaningful hands-on experience designed to help us recognize what we're carrying and consider what we're ready to surrender.

The afternoon and evening leave plenty of space for family connection, relaxation, nourishing meals, and fellowship.

The focus: Awareness, grace, surrender, and allowing Christ to transform our hearts.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 3

Bring It Home

New year. Renewed hearts. Intentional families.

A meaningful weekend is wonderful. But what happens when we go home?

On our final morning, families will reflect on what they've learned, identify meaningful goals for the year ahead, and choose simple, practical rhythms they want to establish in their homes.

Each family will create a personalized family motto and a keepsake to display at home—a tangible reminder of what matters most.

We'll conclude with prayer, a shared meal, and encouragement for the journey ahead.

The focus: Carrying the weekend's lessons into everyday family life.

Nourishment for Body & Soul

We believe meals should be an opportunity to gather and connect, not another thing to rush through.

Throughout the retreat, we'll serve delicious, nourishing, whole-food meals prepared with an emphasis on simplicity, abundance, and hospitality.

Breakfasts

Relaxed, self-serve mornings with wholesome choices and plenty of time for coffee and conversation.

Lunches

Flexible, self-serve meals that allow families to eat, reconnect, and enjoy the natural rhythm of the day.

Dinners

Warm, buffet-style evening meals with time to gather around the table, share stories, and enjoy one another.

All scheduled meals include a full hour, and snacks and beverages will be available throughout the retreat.

Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary needs before attending so we can discuss accommodations.
